Human and Minority Rights and Gender Equality Committee Chairman Talks to Croatian Ambassador to Serbia
The Chairman of the Committee on Human and Minority Rights and Gender Equality Meho Omerovic met with the Croatian Ambassador to Serbia, H.E. Gordan Markotic, at his request, to discuss the declaration of Nikola Aleksic.
The Ambassador informed the Committee Chairman about the declaration titled “Call to the people of Serbia – warning of the vicious times to come!”, published by Nikola Aleksic, on 13 October 2015, who claims to be heading an organisation striving for the survival of nature and humanity. The author of the declaration is making unwarranted statements about the Croatian people and the Republic of Croatia, contrary to the laws of the Republic of Serbia, which were condemned by the Committee Chairman and the Croatian Ambassador.
In view of the scope of authority of the Committee on Human and Minority Rights and Gender Equality concerning the rights of national minorities and interethnic relations in the Republic of Serbia, the Committee Chairman informed the Ambassador that he would notify the competent authorities about the abovementioned. The Ambassador handed the Committee Chairman a copy of the declaration.
