Human and Minority Rights and Gender Equality Committee Chairman Meho Omerovic Congratulates Easter to All Celebrating it According to Julian Calendar

“To Patriarch Irinej of Serbia, the clergy and all believers who celebrate the holiday according to the Julian calendar, my sincerest congratulations on the greatest Christian holiday of Easter.

May the coming holiday remind us of the importance of mutual respect, tolerance, togetherness and unity in diversity. In the multi-ethnic society we live in these are the values we must cultivate and develop in order to have the strength to overcome adversity and the problems we face. This holiday symbolizes faith and hope, understanding and forgiveness and I hope it brings us all peace and harmony both within the family and with our neighbours, friends and all the people living here, whatever their faith or nationality might be.

I wish all the believers spend the holiday in good health, love and well-being!”
