Human and Minority Rights and Gender Equality Committee Chairman Congratulates Belgrade Incest Trauma Centre Director on World of Children Protection Award

The Chairman of the National Assembly’s Committee on Human and Minority Rights and Gender Equality, Meho Omerovic congratulated Dusica Popadic, Director of Incest Trauma Centre - Belgrade, on winning the 2016 World of Children Protection Award.


The Committee Chairman highlighted the efforts Mrs. Popadic as Director of the Incest Trauma Centre invested into raising awareness on sexual violence against children through activities aimed at drawing attention to the problem and also acting preventively by raising awareness among the public, people who work with children and parents and children themselves.

He also thanked Mrs. Popadic for the support offered to the Committee on Human and Minority Rights and Gender Equality in activities concerning the fight against domestic violence and strengthening child rights and pointed out the need for further cooperation.
