The Head of the Parliamentary Friendship Group with Palestine, Dr Vladimir Marinkovic said that the relations between Palestine and Serbia have been traditionally good, but economic cooperation should be continued and economic exchange improved. He also added that it would be truly beneficial to renew the decades-long educational exchange via student exchanges.
The Palestinian Ambassador to Serbia, H.E. Mohammed Nabhan briefed the Parliamentary Friendship Group members on the state and political system of Palestine and spoke of Palestine’s talks with Israel. He agreed that economic cooperation should be continued, adding that he would continue to work towards improving Serbia’s global image. The Ambassador stressed that Serbia and Palestine share a historic friendship and thanked Serbia its support of Palestine’s efforts to become a United Nations member state.
The Head of the Parliamentary Friendship Group with Palestine and H.E. Mohammed Nabhan agreed that establishing a Parliamentary Friendship Group with Serbia in the Palestinian Parliament would prove invaluable for the interparliamentary cooperation between the two countries.
