Head and Members of PFG with Germany Meet with Chair of Bundestag Parliamentary Friendship Group with South-Eastern Europe
The Head of the Parliamentary Friendship Group with Germany Vesna Markovic and the PFG members met today with the Chair of the Bundestag Parliamentary Friendship Group with South-Eastern Europe Stephan Albani.
Speaking of Germany’s importance for the European integration of Serbia, as well as the entire Western Balkans, Vesna Markovic emphasized the significance of the Berlin Process which has enhanced the dialogue among the leaders of the region, adding that including parliamentarians in the Berlin Process would also prove useful.
The Chair of the Bundestag Parliamentary Friendship Group with South-Eastern Europe Stephan Albani said that Germany fully supports Serbia’s European integration and that there is ample room to further cooperation between the two countries in the fields of economy, science and education. Speaking of the prospects and future of the European Union, Albani stressed what needs more work is the further development of Europe, making it more stable and functional, building up the identity of the citizen of Europe and the identity of its international policy.
The meeting was attended by PFG members Muamer Zukorlic, Dr Muamer Bacevac, Elvira Kovacs, Dr Sci. med. Darko Laketic, Nada Lazic and Gordana Comic.
