PFG Head Zoran Bojanic welcomed the guests to Serbia with the hope that the excellent bilateral relations would continue to follow the upward trend. The PFG members said that parliamentary cooperation could be developed further especially via the two parliaments’ friendship groups. They also emphasized the importance of promoting economic and cultural cooperation, as well as cooperation between local self-governments mentioning the ongoing cooperation between the cities of Kraljevo and Niagara. The PFG asked for support to relax Canada’s visa regime for Serbian nationals, especially in view of the two countries’ expanding overall relations.

The members of the PFG with Canada informed the guests about the significant role of women in Serbia’s political life, especially in the National Assembly, and presented the work of the Women’s Parliamentary Network.
