Gojkovic Congratulates Li Zhanshu on Being Elected Chairman of Chinese National People's Congress Standing Committee

The Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia Maja Gojkovic congratulated Li Zhanshu on being elected Chairman of the Standing Committee of the Chinese National People's Congress.


“Allow me to expend my sincerest and most heart-felt congratulations on Your election to the highest honour of Chairman of the Standing Committee of the Chinese National People's Congress and to wish you success.

Starting from our two countries’ firm friendship confirmed throughout history in good times and bad, I would like to express my readiness to continue to develop our fruitful relations at the benefit of our nations based on the comprehensive strategic cooperation and the Protocol on the establishment of the Commission of our two institutions.

Determined to offer full contribution to the establishment of the community of people in the interest of peace and cooperation based in equality by taking part in global projects such as the One Belt One Road initiative, allow me to emphasize our commitment to further comprehensive advancement of parliamentary and overall relations. In that context remembering the magnificent hospitality during my previous visit to the People’s Republic of China, I would like to invite You to come to an official visit to the Republic of Serbia”, says the National Assembly Speaker in her letter of congratulations.
