Fourth Extraordinary Session of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia in 2015
At the request of the Government of the Republic of Serbia, National Assembly Speaker Maja Gojkovic convened the Fourth Extraordinary Session of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia in 2015, for Monday, 26 January, starting at 10 am.
1. Bill amending and modifying the Law on Defence
2. Bill amending and modifying the Law on the Serbian Armed Forces.
The National Assembly accepted the proposal of MP Vladimir Djukanovic to complete a joint debate in principle on all the items on the agenda.
The National Assembly then commenced a debate in principle on the Bill amending and modifying the Law on Defence and the Bill amending and modifying the Law on the Serbian Armed Forces.
On the behalf of the submitter, the bills were elaborated by Minister of Defence Bratislav Gasic.
By the end of the day, the National Assembly had completed the debate in principle on the Bill amending and modifying the Law on Defence and the Bill amending and modifying the Law on the Serbian Armed Forces.
On the second day of the proceedings, 28 January, the National Assembly commenced a debate in detail on the Bill amending and modifying the Law on Defence and the Bill amending and modifying the Law on the Serbian Armed Forces.
On the behalf of the MPs and herself, the Chair, National Assembly Speaker Maja Gojkovic, greeted the representatives of the Military Trade Union who followed part of the session from the gallery of the Grand Hall.
By the end of the day, the National Assembly had completed the debate in detail on the Bill amending and modifying the Law on Defence and the Bill amending and modifying the Law on the Serbian Armed Forces.
As the National Assembly had completed the debate on all the items on the agenda for the session, National Assembly Speaker Maja Gojkovic set Wednesday, 28 January 2015, as Voting Day on all the items on the agenda for the Fourth Extraordinary Session of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia in 2015, starting at 6 pm.
Voting Day
On Voting Day, 28 January, by a majority vote, the National Assembly passed the Bill amending and modifying the Law on Defence and the Bill amending and modifying the Law on the Serbian Armed Forces.
On Voting Day, the National Assembly also ruled on the violations of the Rules of Procedure the MPs complained of in the course of the session and decided that none of the provisions of the Rules of Procedure had been violated.
As the National Assembly had completed the debate on all the items on the agenda and ruled on them, National Assembly Speaker Maja Gojkovic, concluded the Fourth Extraordinary Session of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia in 2015.
