Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman Has Video-Meeting with Head of Lithuanian Parliament’s Western Balkans Cooperation Group

The Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia Prof. Dr Zarko Obradovic had a video-meeting on 4 March 2021 with the Head of the Lithuanian Parliament’s Group for Inter-Parliamentary Relations with the Western Balkan Countries Laima Liucija Andrikiene.


The officials exchanged opinions on ways to advance bilateral parliamentary cooperation, cooperation within multilateral parliamentary organisations and experiences within China’s cooperation with Central and Eastern European countries.

Prof. Dr Obradovic said that EU membership is Serbia’s priority and advocated continuing the Belgrade-Pristina dialogue under the auspices of the European Union, stressing the need for the EU to step up its engagement on the implementation of the 2013 Brussels Agreement.

The Head of the Lithuanian Parliament’s Group for Inter-Parliamentary Relations with the Western Balkan Countries expressed readiness to visit the countries of the region in the second half of the year, health conditions permitting.
