European Parliament Committee on Transport and Tourism to Discuss “EU Investing in its Transport Networks beyond 2020”

National Assembly delegation comprising Deputy Chairperson and deputy member of the Committee on Spatial Planning, Transport, Infrastructure and Telecommunications Stefana Miladinovic and Ivana Nikolic will take part in the meeting of the European Parliament’s Committee on Transport and Tourism with the topic “EU Investing in its Transport Networks beyond 2020” in Brussels on 20 June 2018.


The meeting is organized by the European Parliament’s Committee on Transport and Tourism for the MEPs and members of the relevant committees of the EU member states’ national parliaments, European Economic Area and the EU candidate states.

The meeting will be focusing on the challenges of investment in the context of limited financial resources and how TEN-T projects can use innovative sources of funding. The participants will also discuss the experiences and best practice in the implementation of TEN-T projects with a special focus on cross-border ties and plans for the period beyond 2020 as regards investment into transport infrastructure.
