Dacic Receives Numerous Letters of Congratulations on Election for Parliament Speaker Wishing Him Much Success in His New Duties!

Ivica Dacic received numerous congratulatory notes on his election to the post of Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia.


The newly-elected National Assembly Speaker received congratulations from the President of the German Bundestag Dr Wolfgang Schauble, Chairman of the Advisory Council of the State of Qatar Ahmed bin Abdullah bin Zaid Al-Mahmoud, Speaker of the House of Representatives of the Republic of Malta Angelo Farrugia, President of the National Assembly of the Republic of Slovenia Igor Zorcic, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Korea Kang Kyung-wha, Hungarian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Peter Szijjarto and the Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of Luxembourg Jean Asselborn.

The President of the German Bundestag Dr Wolfgang Schauble congratulated National Assembly Speaker Ivica Dacic on behalf of the German Bundestag and his own behalf, saying that he was looking forward to the continuation of cooperation and intensification of relations between the two institutions.

“I will follow the further development of the political role of the National Assembly in the context of the state of Serbia with great interest. In facing the various challenges of your new function, I wish you, as an experienced statesman, a lot of creativity and, above all, health, especially in these times of crisis caused by the corona virus”, said Dr Wolfgang Schauble

The Chairman of the Advisory Council of the State of Qatar said it was an honour to congratulate Ivica Dacic on of his election as Speaker of the National Assembly of the “friendly Republic of Serbia” and wished him success in his new duties.

“I take this opportunity to express my desire to strengthen and improve the bilateral relations between our countries, especially at the parliamentary level, and to expand the existing cooperation to various fields and achieve what the people of our two countries strive for in terms of development and prosperity."

On his own behalf and on behalf of all the members of the House of Representatives of the Republic of Malta, Angelo Farrugia expressed his sincerest congratulations on the election to such a prestigious and responsible position.

“While wishing your Excellency all the best in your deliberations, I look forward to an enhanced and fruitful collaboration in the future between our two institutions.”

The President of the National Assembly of the Republic of Slovenia Igor Zorcic extended sincerest congratulations to Ivica Dacic on his election for Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia.

"I wish you success in the performance of this noble, responsible and demanding duty, as well as in achieving the set goals. Let me take this opportunity to express my satisfaction with the close and friendly ties between our two countries and the conviction that, with the constructive cooperation of both parliaments, they will continue to develop in all areas in the future. I sincerely hope that, once the pandemic caused by the COVID-19 virus is brought to a successful end, conditions will be met to further interparliamentary contacts and for the general exchange of opinions, positions and experiences, especially in light of our joint efforts to accelerate the EU enlargement process. "

In his letter to Ivica Dacic, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Korea Kang Kyung-wha said that it was a great pleasure for him to work closely with Mr. Dacic to deepen the strong ties of friendship and cooperation between the two countries.

“In this regard, I would like to once again express my appreciation for the meeting we had last June in Belgrade and your gracious hospitality during my visit to Serbia. I also wish to take this opportunity to extend my heartfelt congratulations to you on your election as speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia. I wish you much success in your new responsibilities for your country and hope that our paths will cross again in the future.”

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba congratulated Ivica Dacic on his appointment as Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia and thanked him for the efforts he made as the First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia to deepen bilateral cooperation, the core of which is "in these challenging times, mutual support for the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine in the Republic of Serbia."

"I am sincerely convinced that friendly relations and fruitful cooperation between our countries in all spheres, and especially within interparliamentary dialogue, will continue to develop in the interest and well-being of our peoples."

The Hungarian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Peter Szijjarto expressed his most sincere gratitude and appreciation for the outstanding cooperation and personal friendship during the past years and heartfelt congratulations and best wishes on Mr. Dacic’s appointment as Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia

“I assure you that I am personally committed to further strengthening the Hungarian-Serbian bilateral relations. The parliamentary dimension plays a crucial role in achieving this and I sincerely hope that Hungary can count on your support in your new capacity as well.”

The Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of Luxembourg Jean Asselborn thanked Ivica Dacic for the good cooperation during his tenure as First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs.

“In the six years you have served as Minister of Foreign Affairs of your country, we have been able to extend and deepen the friendly ties between our two peoples and your country has taken decisive steps towards EU integration. I am confident that the longstanding cooperation between Luxembourg and Serbia in its various forms will be continued and further strengthened. Luxembourg will continue to support the ambitious reform agenda of Serbia and accompany your country on its path to the European Union,” said Asselborn taking the opportunity to convey his sincere congratulations on the appointment as Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia.

“I am glad to hear that you will remain involved in Serbian politics and that your country will be able to count on your long years of experience in national and international politics. I wish you much strength and success in tackling your new task and assure hand in all your decisions.”
