Ambassador Belhaj Congratulates Dacic on Appointment to New Duty and Delivers Letters of President of Moroccan House of Representatives and Foreign Minister

The Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia Ivica Dacic met today with the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Morocco to the Republic of Serbia Mohammed Amine Belhaj.


Ambassador Belhaj congratulated Ivica Dacic on his new appointment as Speaker of the National Assembly and delivered the letters of the President of the Moroccan House of Representatives Habib El Malki and Minister of Foreign Affairs Nasser Bourita. He conveyed the greetings of the Moroccan head of diplomacy, Mr. Bourita, who, in his letter, thanked Ivica Dacic for his personal contribution to the improvement of bilateral relation and strengthening of friendly ties between the two countries and nations.

National Assembly Speaker Ivica Dacic praised the development of cooperation between the two countries in the previous period, stressing that they share the same wish and willingness to advance the friendly ties the President of the Moroccan House of Representatives speaks of in his letter. As the head of diplomacy he focused special attention to the renewal of ties with African countries, stressing that he would continue to cultivate and develop friendly relations in his new post. He informed the Ambassador that the National Assembly had recently set up a Parliamentary Friendship Group with Morocco which will continue the cooperation with the Parliamentary Friendship Group with Serbia in the Moroccan House of Representatives. He also added that he is prepared to personally contribute to the further rapprochement of the two parliaments.

The officials agreed that the bilateral relations are at a high level and are moving in a good direction as evidenced by the dynamics of bilateral visits in the previous period and considerable growth in the volume of trade.
