The Bill was presented by Branko Drcelic, head of the Ministry of Finance Public Debt Directorate, who said that the Agreement, signed on 12 July 2017, concerns a 50 million EUR loan with a 25-year payback period and a four year grace period. The funds are to be withdrawn in five portions at most by the end of 2021. The loan was taken with no fees or commissions and if the funds are not withdrawn there would be no additional expenses for the state. Part of the funds for the purchase of equipment for the clinical centres, viz.15 million EUR, is provided by the Republic of Serbia, said Drcelic.

Following a brief debate the Committee members accepted the Bill on the Confirmation of the Financial Agreement Clinical Centres/C between the Republic of Serbia and the European Investment Bank by majority vote.

The Committee went on to note the termination of office of Director of the Administration for Supervision of Financial Institutions of the National Bank of Serbia Djordje Jevtic due to expiry of his term of office and the termination of office of President of the Council of the Governor of the National Bank of Serbia Dr Nebojsa Savic due to expiry of his term of office. The Committee will, pursuant to the law, launch proceedings to elect a new Director of the Administration for Supervision of Financial Institutions of the National Bank of Serbia and President of the Council of the Governor of the National Bank of Serbia.

The sitting was attended by the following Committee members and deputy members: Goran Kovacevic, Momo Colakovic, Veroljub Arsic, Dr Milorad Mijatovic, Srbislav Filipovic, Zoran Bojanic, Sonja Vlahovic, Dusko Tarbuk, Zoltan Pek, Zoran Krasic and Milorad Mircic.
