The Bill on Mediation in Real Estate Transactions and Rental, Bill amending and modifying the Electronic Trading Law and the Bill amending and modifying the Law on Protection of Competition were elaborated, in principle, by assistant ministers of foreign and internal trade and telecommunications MA Ljiljana Stankovic and Dusan Protic. In the course of the discussion the Committee members had questions about the protection of buyers and lessees in the mediation process, regulation of direct mediation, mediator licensing and training, and timely signing of electronic contracts. They also stressed that the communication between the Committee and the Commission for the Protection of Competition needs to be improved.
The Bill on Export and Import of Dual-Purpose Goods, in principle, the Bill on the Confirmation of the Agreement between the Republic of Serbia and the Kingdom of Morocco on Reciprocal Stimulation and Protection of Investments and the Bill on the Confirmation of the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Serbia and the Government of the Kingdom of Morocco on the Establishment of Mixed Commission for Trade, Economic and Science and Technology Cooperation were presented by Jasmina Roskic of the Ministry of Foreign and Internal Trade and Telecommunications.
By a majority of votes, the Committee members adopted the bills.
The Committee went on to discuss the Proposal of Committee Chairperson Dr Aleksandra Tomic to organise a public hearing on Energy Efficiency as Serbia’s Developmental Potential. The Committee decided to hold the public hearing at the National Assembly House on 9 October 2013, starting at 11 am.
The Committee members also endorsed the Committee Chairperson’s proposal to set up a Working Group for the monitoring and promotion of energy efficiency within the Committee on the Economy, Regional Development, Trade, Tourism and Energy.
