The Director of the Statistical Office of the Republic of Serbia Dr Miladin Kovacevic pointed out that, in accordance with the provisions of the Law, the 2021-2022 Republic of Serbia Official Statistics Development Strategy is an integral part of the Programme. The Strategy should ensure the development of official statistics toward full harmonisation of statistical standards, methodologies and best statistical practice as a basis for obtaining relevant official statistics results and their comparability with statistical data of European and other countries. The main strategic goal is full compliance with ESS and EU requirements in terms of statistical indicators, publication deadlines and changed methodologies by the end of the specified period.

The Committee unanimously adopted the Proposal of the Decision on the 2021-2025 Official Statistics Programme.

In the continuation, the Committee also granted consent to the Proposal of Rulebook on the Internal Organisation and Job Systematisation at the Commission for State Aid Control, submitted by the Commission for State Aid Control.
