18th Sitting of the Committee on Education, Science, Technological Development and the Information Society

At the sitting held on 18 June, the members of the Committee on Education, Science, Technological Development and the Information Society considered the 359 amendments the MPs had submitted to the Bill on Elementary Education and Upbringing, Bill on Secondary Education and Upbringing, Bill amending and modifying the Law on the Basic Principles of the System of Education and Upbringing, Bill amending and modifying the Law on Pupil and Student Standard, Bill on Adult Education and the Bill amending and modifying the Law on Innovation Activity.


Out of the 141 amendments the MPs had submitted to the Bill on Elementary Education and Upbringing, the Government and the Committee accepted 16. A total of 89 amendments had been submitted to the Bill on Secondary Education and Upbringing, out of which the Government and the Committee decided to accept nine. Out of the 78 amendments the MPs had submitted to the Bill amending and modifying the Law on the Basic Principles of the System of Education and Upbringing, the Government and the Committee accepted nine, while out of the 40 amendments submitted to the Bill on Adult Education, 10 were accepted.The MPs had submitted 17 amendments to the Bill amending and modifying the Law on Pupil and Student Standard, out of which the Government and the Committee accepted one.The Government and the Committee decided not to accept the amendment submitted to the Bill amending and modifying the Law on Innovation Activity.
