17th Sitting of the Committee on Education, Science, Technological Development and the Information Society

At the sitting held on 17 June, the Committee on Education, Science, Technological Development and the Information Society considered the seven amendments the MPs and parliamentary groups had submitted to the Bill on Secondary Education and Upbringing and the Bill amending and modifying the Law on the Basic Principles of the System of Education and Upbringing.


By a majority of votes, the Committee decided to propose the three amendments submitted to the Bill on Secondary Education and Upbringing and the four amendments submitted to the Bill amending and modifying the Law on the Basic Principles of the System of Education and Upbringing as the Committee’s amendments.
Minister of Education, Science and Technological Development Zarko Obradovic informed the Committee members that out of the 366 amendments submitted to the set of education bills, the Government accepted 50. The Committee will vote on these amendments at the next sitting, convened for 18 June.

The sitting was chaired by the Committee Chairman, Prof. Dr Miodrag Stojkovic.
